Public discovery information
TradeKind is a Sussex-first marketplace connecting homeowners with local tradespeople across East Sussex, West Sussex and Brighton & Hove. This page explains which TradeKind information is public, which machine-readable routes are available, and where the boundaries sit around private or authenticated actions.
The normal website remains the primary public source. Search engines and assistants should use canonical TradeKind pages and published profile information rather than infer private contact details, availability, qualifications, locations or service coverage.
The Sussex Trades Directory, trade category pages, eligible local pages and published trade profiles are the main discovery surfaces. Local and profile indexation is quality-gated rather than automatically enabled for every possible URL.
TradeKind provides a read-only public API and a public MCP discovery endpoint. These surfaces are intentionally narrower than the full website and expose only approved public projections.
Homeowner details, leads, owner-only business data, dashboards, admin data and private trade contact details are not part of the public machine-readable surface. Authenticated agent actions are separate and require delegated authorisation.
llms.txt is provided as a convenience. It is not a substitute for the website, sitemap, canonical URLs or normal search indexing, and TradeKind does not claim that every search or AI platform uses it.
The anonymous public MCP surface is deliberately limited to discovery. It cannot create jobs, edit profiles, reveal private contacts or access account data.
Public results should be treated as the current published TradeKind record. A missing field does not mean a negative answer: for example, unknown availability should remain unknown rather than being converted into “available” or “unavailable”.
Service areas, reviews, business details and other profile information can change. Systems using TradeKind should prefer the current canonical page or public endpoint over cached copies when freshness matters.
TradeKind does not ask crawlers or assistants to treat a listing as an endorsement. Homeowners remain responsible for deciding which business to contact and whether to agree any work.
