A simple Sussex trade platform

How TradeKind works for homeowners and tradespeople

TradeKind helps Sussex homeowners find local tradespeople in three clear ways: browse public trade profiles, post a job, or request a specific business. Local tradespeople can create a profile, choose the services and areas they cover, and receive relevant enquiries through the platform.

TradeKind provides the directory and request tools. It does not carry out the work, employ the listed tradespeople or choose a business on your behalf.

For homeowners

How TradeKind works for homeowners

Browsing is open to everyone, and you do not need an account to post a job or send a direct request. TradeKind asks for the practical details needed to route the request and help a tradesperson decide whether to respond.

  1. 1

    Browse local profiles

Search by trade, Sussex town or both. A public profile can show the business's services, areas covered, photos, reviews, FAQs, website and Fleet connections, depending on what the business has added.

  2. 2

    Post a job

Choose the trade and town, describe the work, add your postcode, preferred timing and budget, and upload photos where useful. TradeKind saves the request and alerts relevant published trades matched to the job category and area.

  3. 3

    Request a business directly

When a profile looks suitable, use its Request This Trade button. The request goes to that business only rather than being sent to several trades.

  4. 4

    Decide what happens next

A tradesperson can reply, ask questions or offer a quote. You decide who to speak to and whether to agree any work.

Your contact details are not published publicly. TradeKind uses them to operate the request and shares them with the specific business or matched trades so they can respond. See the Privacy Policy.

A homeowner account is optional. Create or sign in with the same email address to keep requests together, check their status and add photos later from My Requests.

Posting or sending a request does not guarantee a reply, quotation or availability. See the Terms.
